XEUM is a Musician.

Early influences from a composer father and growing up around many musical instruments, led xeum to cultivate a myriad of musical experiences from a young age.
Singing at age 5 and starting the violin at age 6, Xeum then progressed to piano and clarinet studies. He wrote and performed his own, original compositions as early as age 10, before taking up drums and percussion studies at age 14. At the prestigious Versailles then Paris Conservatory of Music, Xeum continued to develop his natural talent into a deeper knowledge and understanding of music, studying under renowned musicians like Lionel Postollec from the Paris Opera Orchestra, Sylvio Gualda and Frederic Macarez ( Paris Orchestra timpany soloist)).
In he meanwhile he took up music analysis and composition studies with Solange Ancona and performed his own composition, Ia-V for vibraphone and tape in Paris Superior Conservatory during the annual International festival, 'Journees de la percussion' in 2004.

After graduating from the Versailles Music Conservatory, Xeum entered The Paris Conservatory and toured extensively as a member of the French Air Force Brass Band, playing in the great halls of Europe reaching as far as Moscow.
He has performed in world renown venues as Budapest Opera and Paris Chatelet theater. He has many performances to his credit, including engagements with Pasdeloup orchestra (Mogador theater), the Paris Symphonieta, Ostinato orchestra for the 'Classique au Vert' festival.
In 2002, Xeum recorded a modern rendition of Nicole Philba's (1937): Nuées Ardentes for bassoon, strings & percussion Orchestra (with Trio Joachim from Paris Opera Orchestra) directed by Jean-François Verdier (Première recording).
In between tour dates, Xeum continued to broaden his repertoire with studies in jazz composition and arrangement alongside Marc Bercowitz and played with jazz musicians such as saxophon player Eric Prost and singer Sapho (Barcelona, 2004).
He then progressed to studio recordings diverse collaboration in Paris with the likes of urban arists OxmoPuccino, Nuttea (EMI), DJ Sek (Mathematic beats, Delabel EMI)).

2005 brought Xeum to Shanghai to perform at Luna (Xintiandi), playing drums and live electronic music with the band, Goldfishes. He has since performed alongside Shanghai's prominent performers as Coco Zhao or Ben Huang (in venues such as JZ Club, CJW, Bar Rouge or Attica) for a variety of concerts, events in Shanghai and around PRC.

XEUM is a dj and a producer, remixer

Discovering electronic music as a child, it was later in his teens when Xeum started mixing and producing music using any gear that was available. Producing his earliest tracks using only a CD player and sequencer, he brought the music to life with the sounds of acoustic instruments and improvisation.

From mixing at garage parties, Xeum progressed to studio recordings for the likes of urban arists OxmoPuccino and Nuttea (EMI), diverse collaborations in Paris with DJ Sek (Mathematic beats, Delabel) and Dj Michael Canitrot (Pschent) behind one of Europe’s hippest parties So, Happy in Paris?. In 2006, Xeum's groovy electro house remix « Fight for It » an MPI project by Studio 31, was released on South Africa’s Fracture records.

Xeum opens his musical vibe through the music and sounds crossing his life. Mixing music from an early age, he played in Paris ( Batofar, Pin Up), while performing music through Europe . He setlled in Shanghai (PRC) from 2005, where he rocked the most famous clubs in Beijing : Lan and Baicai party-Tango, Jinan : Cinderella, Shanghai : Bar Rouge, VIP Room, Attica, Mao, Fabrique, Muse, Barbarossa) and supported international djs such as D'julz or Team Canada.

Versatiliy might be closest way of describing Xeum s musical sensitivity as he produces and performs a very large range of music from Jazz, Lounge, House to Electronica and regularly spins for brands like Evian, Estee Lauder, Tag Heuer, Rado, Mercedes Benz, and Audi; and plays at fashion shows for Louis Vuitton, Shanghai Tang, Zegna, Hang Feng, IFA, Piombo or club openings for IMA, The House, Muse (Shanghai,PRC).

Xeum has since performed all over China and Vietnam. Most recently he has produced music for a new cosmetic brand (Yes for Love) in Paris , as well as a a soundtrack for an independent short film entered in the Shanghai Short Movie Festival. He continues to be one of the busiest and most sought after DJs in Shanghai and Beijing’s nightlife and fashion scene, with residencies in two of Shanghai’s landmark hotspots, Bar Rouge and Barbarossa. .Xeum is currently working on a remix of a Mikey Gallagher track ( Ministry of Sound), for the Shanghai Sessions label to be released by the end of 2008..

XEUM is LOgO's artistic director

From the ashes of one of Shanghai's first underground live music venue (Tanghui, former logo bar), LOgO was then a dark local sportsbar without stage, instruments or turntables. It came to life in October 2006, gathering momentum along with artists and talents around Shanghai, China and soon after, worldwide. An uninhibitive space for every creative mind from musicians to visual artists, LOgO promotes a daily music program mix of local and foreign talents. Since its 2 years of existence, LOgO has recieved already artists, visitors or performers from around the music globe including the likes of : Sonic Youth, Omar Sosa, DJ T, Yacht, Hopper, Emmanuel S., Louis Bertignac's Band, Michael Canitrot, Demerit, Ben Huang, Coco Zhao and many more.
Xeum's dedication and open vision as artistic director has made it a gathering place for many of Shanghai's creative talents, earning the venue the 'City Week-end Reader's Choice award' for Best Live Music venue in Shanghai in 2008. LOgO's versatile lineup goes from live music improvisation, jazz, to minimal techno, live reggae-dub, house, through rock, funk, IDM and electronica.
